After a highly contested battle for the top job in Illinois, incumbent Gov. Pat Quinn loses to businessman Bruce Rauner. Quinn made his announcement at The James R. Thompson Center,100 W. Randolph St. This is the first time in over a decade that a Republican will be governor in Illinois. Quinn announced he will create a transition team to help Rauner in the coming months.
