While the deep tech industry is still pretty nascent in Singapore, funding has been steadily rising over the past couple years, going from US$324 million in 2020 to US$861 million in the following year.
Tech in Asia sat down with some key Singaporean deep tech players - Aliena, Bifrost, and Origgin Venture - to discuss how the future-focused industry has evolved over the years.
Cap Vista is the strategic investment arm of Singapore’s Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA). It seeks out aspiring entrepreneurs creating deep tech companies with potential dual-use applications for defense and security, and works together with its defense partners and the greater startup ecosystem to nurture and grow these companies.
