The European Parliament has condemned the appointment of A Special Representative by Britain to look into the issues in Sri Lanka..
Member of the European Parliament Niranjan Devaditya has told the Asian Tribune website that Britain has violated the sovereignty of Sri Lanka by appointing a special representative. Mr. Devaditya pointed out that Britain should respect the sovereignty of Sri Lanka. He also said that when terrorism is successfully being eliminated the solutions presented by the British Government are not acceptable. He further said that the international community should support the present Government to provide security and the necessary aid to the displaced people.
