Hide Nikima was born and raised in Kyoto, Japan. Kyoto (京都, Kyōto) served as Japan's capital and the emperor's residence from 794 until 1868.It is one of the country's ten largest cities with a population of 1.5 million people and a modern face. Over the centuries, Kyoto was destroyed by many wars and fires, but due to its exceptional historic value, the city was dropped from the list of target cities for the atomic bomb.
Growing up Hide banned together with a local Kyoto gang, some of his fellow gang members eventually became members of the Yakuza but Hide eventually grew out of Gang banging and found his passion for Lowriding and Southern California Chicano culture. Hides passion brought him to Los Angeles California where he takes pride in cruising his '97 Lincoln hopper down some of LA's most iconic cruising spots. Hide, in partnership with Shaka Clothing Co. founded Los Kamikaze clothing brand which sells Tee Shirts to customers across the globe. Hide is truly passionate and admires and appreciates the Chicano Culture, from the fashion, the tattoos, the lingo and the spirit. Hide has been featured on several YouTube programs and Cinemills TV was honored to have him share his story with you in studio.
