What Are Binaural Beats?
How Can They Affect Your Brain?
Listening to binaural beats can change the frequency of our brain into another cognative state.
Some people use them in order to relax more easily after an intense day at work; tap into their more creative side in order to solve a problem or work more efficiently or even to plant affirmations into their subconscious to reprogram themselves.
The Five Brain Wave Types
The five frequencies that our brain can be operating in are called: Gamma, Beta, Alpha, Theta, and Delta.
GAMMA ( greater than 30Hz) learning, heightened perception, REM sleep. Too much can lead to high arousal and stress
BETA (14-30Hz) this is the normal alertness state when awake. Too much can lead to stress
ALPHA (9-13Hz) relaxing, daydreaming, drowsy. Too much can lead to an inability to focus.
THETA (4-8Hz) meditation, feeling raw emotion. Too much can lead to hyperactivity or depression
DELTA (less than 4Hz) deep sleep, healing, body repair. Too much can lead to an inability to think or learn
