Since his election on November 4th, President-elect Barack Obama has been focused mostly on the economic crisis. On Monday, just days after gunmen killed hundreds of people in Mumbai, India, Mr. Obama presented his national security team, in a news conference. Senator Hillary Clinton, once Mr. Obama's rival for the Democratic nomination for president, will be his secretary of state. Mr. Obama also announced that Defense Secretary Robert Gates will continue at the Pentagon. As with his previous appointments, Monday's selections reflect greater racial and gender diversity than has been seen in recent years.
