Happy #WeatherWednesday, friends! Today’s viewer photo was sent to me from Z. Lawson from Iowa. It’s showcases undulatus asperatus clouds☁️.
If you’re like me, you might have thought that was a made up name from Harry Potter or something😂. But I can assure you, it’s not. Asperitas clouds are the newest cloud type.
Undulatus asperatus clouds indicate waves in the sky and show where there might be turbulence✈️. Despite these clouds looking dramatic, they usually form without precipitation🌧.
