When you were banking on a nice month-long stay for the off-season, and they let you know the have to cancel...what do you do as a host?
This happened to me for a booking this January that was originally booked last April!
I was surprised at first, but knew I needed to #1, stay calm and not get emotional.
Then #2, I messaged the guest to see what changed and they were going through health struggles, totally understandable!
#3, Once their cancelation went through, I immediately updated the nightly prices to reflect the current demand, and now those dates are available for other guests to book!
What could have been a big deal when I first started hosting is now a small disappointment and I move on. It helps to not take everything personally!
