@MattPless had been bothering me for a while to make a video about him at a party. It wasn't until he finally showed me this song that I got stoked on doing it. Immediately what came to mind was the intro from the movie Get Him to the Greek. We wanted to paint a picture of this mega rock star who dominated the music industry. Other references were Fight For Your Right by Beastie Boys and On A Boat by Lonely Island.
We began filming it in December 2019, hoping to release it by the summer. Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic happened and we decided to not release it and keep working on it until things started to look all good.
