Due to frequent ankle sprains the patient suffered an ankle fracture, build up of scar tissue, and weakening of ligaments supporting the ankle.
The surgery was performed at the CarePlex Orthopaedic Ambulatory Surgery Center (COASC) in Hampton, VA. This center allows for patients to receive specialized care and go home the same day. Only orthopaedic surgeries are performed here.
