A day after Kerala recorded over 31,000 fresh Covid cases, state Health Minister Veena George said that the state is doing a maximum number of tests these days and has specific plans for areas with high positive rates. When asked about the reasons for spike in Covid cases in Kerala, Veena George said, "We are doing maximum number of tests these days, yesterday we did more than 1.65 lakh tests. And look at the data one year ago during the Onam season, tests conducted then and now. We have increased the number of tests by 5 times and also, we have specific plans for those areas where the positive rate is high."
