Hydraulic Torque Wrench. Simple, hydraulically driven nut buster manufactured by Turnkey Logic Control in Wheelersburg Ohio.
Removing the piston retainer lock nut from an excavator boom cylinder. This is a nylon insert lock nut with M72x2.0 pitch and 105mm hex (4.125"). A custom ratcheting socket was machined in house.
In theory the structure will yield 3.255 ft. Lbs. / PSI. The cylinder does not push in a perfectly straight line so actual torque will be less than the pure math depending on the actual angle of inclination and where in the arc the force is being distributed. I'm referring to vector forces. In this particular design the cylinder deflects less than 2 degrees throughout the stroke so that effect on torque is minimal.
The ratcheting tools are machined on site and can be produced as necessary.
