This video takes a stock Vintage VS6 guitar and modifies the tone control allied to the neck humbucker so that it becomes a BASS cut instead of its usual function of being a treble cut. I did this because I find a neck humbucker to be too dark, and so the idea of reducing its treble content doesn't, in my opinion, seem to make much sense.
This is a totally passive circuit - no 9v supplies required! It would cost very little for the parts - a capacitor, a resistor, and some wire, and you may find you can use the existing tone pot. The video contains a very straightforward diagram - no degree in electronic engineering required - plus a photo of the finished result. There are also some examples of the difference this mod makes; crucially, it increases the available tones from a two-pickup guitar.
There is no EQ adjustment to this video, either during recording or in post-production; what you hear is the guitar plugged straight into a guitar amp. The speaker was mic'd up identically throughout with a large diaphragm condenser.
