Following are the activities we did during this journey
Breakfast at homestay - Our stay was quite comfortable at vedic village homestay, this property is about 4-5 km away from Om beach, over all nice accomodation. More than the accomodation, it is the host who makes the difference in the experience of stay.
Tariff - Rs 5000 per day including breakfast. Gokarna has hotels, guest houses in all budget ranges, if you check online you can check the same.
Local travel - hired scooty - We hired scooty by paying Rs 400 per day, we had to get the pertrol filled. We hired scooty from Honey taxi service - Satish pirankar - 9449918246. There are many other agents over there who give scooty on hire.
Kudle beach- In all there are 6 beaches in Gokarna, Kudle beach is a good place for sunset view and otherwise also this is a nice beach..
Shiva cave - outside Kudle beach - This cave does not have any historic relevance but we just thought to go there for 5-10 minutes.
Koti Teertha - This teertha is at heart of the city
Shirley falls - We started for Yellapur in the 2nd half of the day and reached Shirley falls, which came on our route.
To go to Shirley falls you have walk 2 km from the parking, though the road is good, but its width is less, but some people take their car, we were not allowed to take our vehicle but we got lift from someone, then from that point one has to walk half a km to reach the falls.
Shri krishna residencey Yellapur - we stayed at Yellapur over night at this hotel, Over all hotel is nice, it is in the outskirts on the national highway, food is decent,.
In the next episode you will see information about life of Siddis.
thanks
harish
