@Maniology sent me a stamp kit to try and I was captivated by the details of their porcelain stamping plate! I’m definitely a beginner when it comes to stamping. The only nail design I’ve ever stamped was a houndstooth pattern and it was actually so messy I never tried stamping again until now 😅.
It’s such a fun and easy way to add cute designs to your own manicures. For me, I think stamping patterns like houndstooth or lace would be really useful and time saving!
The starter set here comes with a stamp plate of your choice, a regular stamping polish (not gel!), no smudge top coat, scraper, and stamp. They also sent me a gold polish which I really wanted to try and it stamps really well! (see the dragon, I didn’t keep it in the final design but wanted to show you guys how nicely it stamped).
This set was my first try at using these stamps and I think it went really well overall! Much better than my first experience at stamping 😅
𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐛: stamped well but I think I didn’t wait long enough before applying the top coat because it did smudge a bit (or maybe I brushed too many times). I love how you can layer stamps (like the gold bird!)
𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐱: the blue tint came from me testing with a gel top coat to see how much it would smudge. The design actually stayed put but some of the polish dissolved into the blue tint (as expected).
The rest of the nails were ✨ clean ✨ once I got the hang of it! I found that less brush strokes with the regular top coat held the design in place without smudging and then I added a final gel top coat to encapsulate everything so that the nails can be worn and reused :)!
Let me know if you want to see a more detailed tutorial on using these stamps and some tips & tricks I’ve learned 😉 💕 or tag me if you receeate these fine China nails!
