It's entirely possible that Chinese manufacturing powerhouse BYD is the biggest company you've never heard of. The company has existed for around 27 years, and over the years has made everything from batteries to buses, trains to forklift trucks, and goodness knows what else. Just how big is this firm? Well, it employs around 300,000 people worldwide. See, we told you...

The moniker stands for 'Build Your Dreams', and these days, the firm is also quite big in the field of car manufacturing, although the vehicles it produces have so far only been available on foreign soil. Until now.

This month sees the launch of BYD in the UK, and its first offering will be the Atto 3. This all-electric hatchback crossover sits midway between a Volkswagen ID.3 and ID.4 for size, and so competes in one of the fastest-growing sectors of the motor industry.

More models of various shapes and sizes will follow, although it's not yet clear which ones, and when, but in this CarGurus UK video review, Vicky Parrott shows you some of the BYD models that could be making their way to these shores, and gives you the lowdown on their quality and technology, as well as on the company itself.
