CORONAVIRUS
Dwi Rahayu, a deaf woman in Indonesia, has begun making clear masks to help deaf people communicate as the coronavirus pandemic has made mask wearing commonplace.
Rahayu began making the masks because her husband, who is also deaf, was unable to rely on lip reading to communicate with customers at his kiosk.
Health experts around the world are recommending, and sometimes mandating, the use of masks to help curb the spread of the virus.
