My beautiful wife is usually a very good shooter but trying the .44 Mag for the first time was a bit overwhelming. We in fact were mistaking the gun for a .38 special revolver which my girl is very used to. So the surprise of the massive recoil of that beautiful smith and wesson double action was understandable.
