Go Go Bird Flight Review and Tutorial
This video will discuss the Go Go Bird flight review and tutorial. The Go Go Bird, by Hanvon, is a ready to fly ornithopter (an aircraft that flies by flapping its wings) that offers surprisingly good flight performance.
The Go Go Bird comes completely assembled in its box, with the Go Go Bird itself, two rechargeable lipo batteries, a USB charger, a remote control and very complete instructions.
The Go Go Bird is advertised for use by children over 8 years of age. I think this is about right, but I would advise the initial assistance of at least a teenager to connect the battery and demonstrate the controls. Once that is done the Go Go Bird is safe for use by young children. Do keep in mind the unit is very lightweight, thus should be handled with care.
The remote control is electronically paired to the Go Go Bird. Ensure the battery is fully charged. There is an altitude limit and free flight mode on the controller. Select which version of control you wish and launch the bird. The video goes into great detail how this is done.
The controller has a throttle (forward fast, back slow) and side to side for rudder control. The Go Go Bird flies quite well! Be sure initial test flights are in an open field, as the bird can climb quickly and will wind up in a tree or on a roof if you are not careful.
