Concerning and irresponsible -- the chief minister of New Delhi has come under fire for claiming there's a new Singapore COVID-19 variant. Singapore and India's central government have both dismissed the remarks from Arvind Kejriwal, who claimed a new Singapore variant is harmful to children and could cause a third wave of infections in India. Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reiterated there is no Singapore variant, and many of the community cases in recent weeks are of the B1617.2 variant, which was first detected in India.
