Adobong labong or Bamboo shoots adobo is a delicious recipe.As an ilokano we grew up with this recipe,aside from this dish we also cook it as dinengdeng with jute leaves and fried milk fish.In this recipe you can add pork meat,shrimp or the labong itself is fine.
INGREDIENTS:
Bamboo shoots 1kg
Pork chop 300g
red onion 3pcs medium
black pepper 1/2 tsp
ginger 2 inch
garlic cloves 3 pcs
cooking oil 3 tbsp
vinegar 70ml
soy sauce 90ml
Put the labong in big casserole and add water enough to cover the labong or bamboo shoots bring to boil and cook until it soften at the liquid is reduced.Drain and cool it down the squeeze out the excess liquid to remove the bitter taste or the after taste.
