This video is shot looking down the throat of a 2.9L Whipple during a dyno pull of a Borowski-built 427 cubic inch LS engine.
Water-meth injection has been around for a long time. It was widely used in WWII on both sides for "War Emergency Power", a short term power boost for combat situations. Here is what it looks like getting sprayed down the throat of one of our supercharged LS engines. The mixture (usually 50/50) reduces air inlet temperature and inhibits detonation allowing the engine to temporarily achieve higher power levels. On our engines, the engine, automatic transmission and water-meth injection are all controlled by a Holley Terminator X-Max. The previous video did not yet have the kit installed at the time of the dyno.
