NASA took the first step in that direction on Wednesday as it launched its ambitious Artemis-1 mission on its maiden voyage that goes beyond the Moon and back. The Space Launch System (SLS) lifted off with the Orion spacecraft on top from Cape Canaveral in Florida on a journey that will set the stage for humanity's return to the stars.
