What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments,
but what is woven into the lives of others." — Pericles
Giorgio Sancristoforo plays an original song, called "Luthiers Du Ciel", composed and performed on a LUTHIEROS Kithara of the Golden Age. It is inspired by his close collaboration with the Koumartzis family, and their joint effort to bring back to life in the 21st century musical instruments from ancient Greece and Rome.
The recordings took place in Castello Sforzesco in the city of Milan, Italy, where Giorgio is currently living and creating art.
The video's thumbnail depicts a seated nymph with an ancient kithara, which was found at the Villa of San Marco Stabiae, buried by the Vesuvian eruption in 79 A.D.
