Working on the neck can feel a bit scary or awkward!
But, if you spend a bit of time slowly applying techniques that take into consideration the sensitive structures in the area and train your hands to recognise what is underneath until you become comfortable with your strokes, you will have a client forever.
So many therapists just apply a cursory massage stroke over the area because of this lack of confidence, but clients want you to spend some time to release the tension.
How many clients do you know that have tight shoulders?
The neck will be one of the areas you will need to address in order to increase the effectiveness of your treatment to the shoulders. I love to work on this area. I can literally hear my clients purr when I find that top spot of tension and ease into it, allowing gravity to be my friend, placing my hands under the head, encouraging it to let go, and applying strokes that elongate the neck.
The sense of relief is clearly visible, something I know they will want me to repeat in the next session. You can find out more on my Neck, Jaw and Chest Workshop: [ Ссылка ]
