This split level Par 4 sets the tone for things to come. This is a hole of great strategic interest. Stay on the high side to enjoy the shorter route to the hole but beware being stuck behind the large tree on the left. A tee shot to the low side leaves you a long second shot and the possibility that your view to the green will be obscured. There are generous “bail out” areas short, to the left and behind the green – but from these areas you are left having to play a creative shot to get it close to the pin. A bunker short of the putting surface keeps the golfer honest and with water behind the green makes for a testing sand shot.
We have cleared trees down the right side of this holes to afford memorable views of the large water body. See if you can spot some of the wonderful birdlife.
