US Secretary of State John Kerry has accused Russia of looking for a pretext to invade Ukraine. He called the new government legitimate and offered it aid. But Russian President Vladimir Putin said the government came to power by carrying out an armed coup. And he said Russia reserves the right to protect its people. But it's in eastern Ukraine's Crimea region that this crisis is being played out. Here, Ukrainian and Russian soldiers briefly confronted each other.
