The Blueridge BR-160 features a solid sitka spruce top and ROSEWOOD back & sides. The BR-140 has the same sitka top over MAHOGANY back & sides. Generally speaking, rosewood is warmer, with a stronger bass and increased overtones. Mahogany makes for a brighter, more fundamental sound - with less low end, and less complexity.
