Wow.
Yes, this happened.
This is so so good, it will do more to smash away your winter blues than a flippin solar flare. Its a shame its such a small clip, but keep your eyes out for more and post em up. (please!) I've corrected the title as most people seem pretty sure of it, but that could change.

Insane tho, that Nick Littlemore, inbetween making another Pnau album and the score for cirque du soleil, managed to squeeze in doing this to Elton johns early 70's work. oh yh, just before he started back with the new empire record that is!
The story goes that Elton John landed in oz a few years back and, as he does when he travels to any country, asked for the top 10 or 20 albums at the time. One of those was Pnaus 'Again'. From there, he became a fan. Contact was made, friendship followed, then they worked together on the Cirque score which i assume, led to this. I think thats pretty much it from what i can piece together. I cant wait for the forthcoming interviews and such that will surely accompany the release.
I dont know many details, i think theyve 're-versioned' and cut up a few tracks from Elton Johns early 70's days. Thanks to actual Elton John fan 'capedwonderjim' for correcting me that "This is a combination of Mona Lisa's and Mad Hatters, the opening of Funeral For A Friend, and Tonight, all from albums between 1972 and 1976" Either way ,its gonna be an 8 track album.
Which, judging by this, is gonna be pure summer vibes. It kinda reminds me a lot of pnau's 'Sambanova' times, but its so so chilled. Pete Tong is dead on saying its so pool party, i seriously cannot wait to get my hands on it for the summer.
...HYPE IT...
(oh yh, obviously this is ripped from pete tongs radio 1 show and was his essential new tune. I dont own it, but i can damn well share it ;)
