Ingredients
For the Cake (*all ingredients should be at room temperature)
Unsalted butter - 100gm
Vegetable oil - 3 Tbsp
Fine Granulated Sugar - 300 gm
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
Eggs - 2 Large
Flour - 275 gm
Unsweetened cocoa powder - 2 tbsp
* Buttermilk/Laban - 1 cup
Red food coloring - 1- 2 tsp
Baking soda - 1 tsp
White Vinegar - 1 tsp
For the Cream cheese frosting
Unsalted butter - 170 gm, softened
Cream cheese - 340 gm, at room temperature
Powdered sugar - 360 gm
Vanilla extract - 2 tsp
Pinch of salt.

* Homemade buttermilk recipe (2 ways):
1. Mix 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup full-fat yogurt, and 1 tsp white vinegar. Let sit for 5 min.
2. Mix 1 cup Full-fat milk and 1 tbsp white vinegar. Stir and sit for 5 - 10 min.
