A wireless monitor can be an incredible tool to have on set. Whether you need to monitor a camera on a Steadicam or gimbal from a distance, or if you just need to be able to hand a portable monitor to your client or Director. But pre-built "pro" systems can cost thousands of dollars! Isn't there a way to put together something more affordable?
Back in 2015 I actually used the Nyrius Aries Pro, a consumer level wireless system, to build my own wireless director's monitor. But now that it is 2019, I decided it needed an upgrade. Today i will be upgrading the wireless system, converting it to v-mount power, and making it easier to use with whatever monitor you throw at it!
