Naan a type of Indian flatbread is generally made using yeast in a tandoor. This recipe does not use any yeast or tandoor/oven and is made on a tawa. The recipe is very easy to make and the combo of butter & garlic is delicious. You can try other topping options too, as per your preference.
Naan goes well with any vegetarian or non-vegetarian gravy dish. Do give this recipe a try.
Ingredients:
2 cups maida/refined flour (approx. 200 g)
1/4 cup milk powder (approx. 25 g) [optional]
1 tsp sugar [optional]
1 tsp baking soda (soda bicarb)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup curd/yogurt/dahi (approx. 60 g)
Warm water (approx. 3/4 cup)
1 tbsp soft butter (15 g)
1.5 tbsp kalonji/nigella/onion seeds
3 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
15-20 garlic cloves, finely chopped
4 green chillies, finely chopped [optional]
1+ 3 tbsp soft butter (approx. 60 g)
