Who's fault is it if you've been scammed or hurt by a so called business coach?
Business scam artists work on many areas that people succumb to. Here are a few:-
1. Greed - examples include $100,000 in three months, financial freedom in a year,
2. Ego - examples include "fame", "being noticed on stages"
3. Scarcity tactics - examples include "this is the last time I will make this offer", "in one minute the offer will be gone", "I will give the first 12 people my phone number"
4. Reverse psychology - examples include "this is not a get rich quick scheme" followed by an offer to triple your income in a month
Before even buying a package do the following:-
1. How will the package help you get closer to your goal. If it won't, don't buy. If you don't have a goal don't buy
2. Read the small print. Many scam business coaches have written they will not give a refund.
3. Watch the fake business coach's words and how they justify bad behaviour. Use of #fake numbers, photographs of themselves with celebrities, whether their actions match their words.
4. A fake business coach knows how to bury legitimate complaints using reverse SEO. Use google to search for name of coach and court case.
5. A fake business coach may talk about the court case and how it got thrown out of court - check the court records - it may only cost you a few dollars but will save you a huge loss of finance, stress and time.
If you have lost money ie a package you have purchased is not what was advertised then you should:-
1. Ask for a refund from the seller with an appropriate reason.
2. Keep all correspondence.
3. If they do not reply any more then
a. Report this to the police - the police will tell you who to speak to
b. Report it to the promoter if they are different from the seller of the product.
Do send all correspondence.
c. If you are in the right, you may not get justice but over time the promoter will start getting a feeling of what is going on. You must, however, show you have lost money and have a valid reason.
