In Super Mario Galaxy 2's level entitled "The Shiverburn Galaxy," Mario reaches a certain point in the level with a large, dark cliff facing him. Bringing up the first person mode and looking carefully at the top of the large cliff, you, the player, can spot three eerie silhouettes looking over the cliff's edge as if they are staring down at Mario. As more people started to take note of these three figures, the game's files eventually got hacked by some curious gamers. Oddly enough, the three figures are actually a built in as part of the skybox. Even stranger, in the files, the map is referred to by the title of "Beyond Hell Valley" and the figures themselves are referenced as the "Hell Valley Sky Trees" (a bit darker than the Nintendo that we're used to). Arguably, the strangest part of these three mysterious figures is that they are never mentioned by in any way within the game... Not even a hint.
