Haruka Funakubo

Japanese judoka Haruka Funakubo captured the gold medal at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2021 and Grand Slam in Tokyo in 2022. She is the only triple Junior World Champion in the world. She won the world titles in 2015, 2017 and 2018 and she contributed to the mixed team world title for Juniors. Haruka took a silver medal at the World Championships in Tashkent in 2022. She won the World team title with Japan. Haruka claimed a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Osaka in 2018 and bronze at the Grand Slam of Ekaterinburg in 2019. She started 2022 with a victory at the Grand Slam in Paris.
Christa Deguchi

Canadian judoka Christa Deguchi is the 2019 World Champion. She claimed gold at the IJF Masters in Jerusalem in 2022. Christa won bronze at the World Championships in Baku in 2018 as first Canadian. She won the Grand Slam in Paris three times. Christa won the GS of Ekaterinburg in 2019. She won two World Junior Championships medals and gold with the team of Japan. Deguchi won two Panam titles. She bagged the Grand Slam gold in Antalya in 2021 and gold at Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2022. She won the Commonwealth Games in 2022 in Birmingham and Grand Slam gold in Baku.
