Aquaculture has grown to provide about half of all seafood consumed today. However, fish farming relies on fishmeal produced from fish harvested from the ocean. One solution to this problem is using captured methane to produce protein-rich fish feed. Stanford researchers find that capturing methane for this process can be economically competitive and produce a significant amount of global fishmeal demand.
