Hello everyone, welcome back to our channel. Empaths can be generally classified into four distinct categories: standard, codependent, super, and contagion. It is quite unusual for an individual to solely belong to one category; in most cases, an individual is a blend of at least two categories, and sometimes, they may even encompass elements from all four. Interestingly, I frequently encounter people who emphatically proclaim, "I am a super empath." While their assertion may be accurate, it is the empath detect test that will conclusively determine the veracity of their claim.
At times, these self-proclaimed super empaths indeed turn out to be accurate in their self-assessment. However, more often than not, their claim is a result of a misguided, misunderstood application – a yearning stemming from a desire to appear more significant or more capable than they perhaps are. This isn't a manifestation of narcissism, but rather a sense of self-validation that arises after surviving the destructive behavior of a narcissist. Having successfully navigated their way out of the narcissist’s clutches (a commendable feat in itself), they are inclined to believe that they must be super empaths.
It is essential to note that all types of empaths, not just the ones primarily identified as super empaths or those with a minor element from their category, can achieve this feat. The occurrence of such an accomplishment is more common among super empaths.
Intriguingly, mid-range narcissists often assert that they are the super empaths. The concept of being "super" appeals to their inflated sense of self-importance. A narrative forms in their mind, in which the super empath is depicted as a superhero, a valiant warrior who triumphs against the narcissist against all odds. In this narrative, the super empath succeeds in destroying the narcissist, causing them to crash down to the ground accompanied by much wailing and gnashing of teeth.
