Český Krumlov is located south of Prague, roughly 107 miles (172km). 3-hour bus ride from Main Train Station area in Prague. If you take the train, you still have to catch a taxi far from the train station to the center of Český Krumlov. Bus is advised. Spend 2 or 3 nights to get a good feel for the town.
Welcome to South Bohemian town of Český Krumlov, Czech Republic, one of most majestic medieval town, a-must-see list (It does not have to be a bucket-list). The second most visited place in Czech Republic after Prague by tourists around the world. You can imagine what it would be like during Medieval Era of this town as you walk through the streets and entering the castle complex or the old town square. In fact, you do not have to imagine seeing kings and queens and knights riding their horses through the streets, each June, Český Krumlov hosts a festivity called Five Petalled Rose Celebration through the streets!!! Many noble family that had influenced this medieval town from Vítkovci, King Wenceslaus II, Rosenberg, Habsburg, Eggenberg and Schwarzenberg.Once you see for yourself and experience for yourself, you might find yourself contemplating retiring in this town possibly or even move here. Hey, anything is possible!
There are many good reasons why this town was voted into UNESCO World Heritage.
