For mild redness and flushing related to rosacea, this is a trick that helps to temporary reduce redness. I recommend this to my patients who are not able to afford that prescription topical creams.
Afrin contains oxymetazolin which is a blood vessel constrictor, and when applied to skin can offer few hours of improvement in facial redness.
👉🏻 But be aware, long term use can lead to rebound redness that may look worse. So I recommend this trick for special occasions.
Lastly, in office laser and light treatments are going to be more effective and offer longer lasting results.
