The Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops is asking President William Ruto and Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga to engage in dialogue and end political uncertainty in the country. The bishops are raising the alarm over what they term as a return to politically incited tensions that risk taking the country down the path of anarchy.
The bishops have also called out the president for his nomination of 50 chief administrative secretaries saying the nominees will bloat an already ailing economy. Their plea, as Ayub Abdikadir reports, come less than 24-hours ahead of Azimio’s planned ‘march to state house’ protest.
