One of the deepest spots in Shinjuku Kabukicho, Shinjuku Golden Street. A row of low-rise wooden row houses in a narrow lot, with more than 200 small restaurants. In the past, there were many unique shops such as literary bars, and it was known that many cultural figures such as writers, editors, film directors, and actors gathered as regular customers. Against this background, it has become one of the origins of subculture and underground art in Tokyo.
