A juvenile has been arrested after a 13-year-old was shot and killed in Oroville on Tuesday and his body was abandoned in a field, according to a release from Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea. An abandoned stolen vehicle was found by the Oroville Police Department that day and detectives believed that a shooting had taken place inside the vehicle so they contacted the Butte County Sheriff's Office around 2 p.m., according to Honea. The sheriff's office began an investigation immediately and found the 13-year-old victim's body near the intersection of 18th Street and Tehama Avenue. Detectives identified the victim as Amadeus Miller-Ramos and determined that four juveniles were inside the stolen vehicle while one was manipulating a firearm, the release said. The firearm was discharged once and after a bullet hit MIller-Ramos the other juveniles in the car placed his body in a field.
