It's important to use saliva testing for detecting subtle changes in adrenal function. Too often, people will go to their doctor and request their adrenal glands be tested, and wind up getting a blood test because the doctor isn't correctly educated about adrenal fatigue. Rather, they're looking for an adrenal disease state - typically adrenal failure which is called Addison's disease.

This is NOT what adrenal fatigue is, and a blood test isn't a sensitive enough tool to detect actual adrenal fatigue - you need a saliva test, and also need to look at the hormone DHEA in conjunction with 4 daily saliva samples to assess the diurnal rhythm of cortisol!
