I find this question to be a funny one because I hear it often.
I generally answer my office’s phone calls. So, people are usually asking the attorney. My firm uses Flat Fee services for the most common immigration processes, which can be found on our website.
However, in a general sense, immigration lawyers either use (1) flat fee, which is self-explanatory, or (2) a retainer, which needs a little explanation.
A retainer is like a wallet full of money given to the immigration lawyer. Over time, the lawyer pays themselves and any bills relating to a client’s matter. Each lawyer is different, so ask the immigration attorney the details of the flat fee or retainer prices.
If you have any questions or concerns, you should speak with a local immigration attorney.
