❓ How to Install the QRS Fire Sleeve Around Circular Plastic Vent Ducts
In this short video, we will be looking at how to install the QRS Fire Sleeve around circular plastic vent ducts.
You will need:
• The QRS Fire Sleeve
• A Philips head screwdriver
• QuelStop Acrylic Sealant
• A sealant gun of your choice
Firstly, the QRS Fire Sleeve is unfastened with the one fixing, as shown, using the Philips head screwdriver. Once the fire sleeve is unfastened, it can then be opened and positioned around the circular plastic vent duct. It is then re-joined using the fixing previously removed.
The QRS Fire Sleeve will need to be centrally positioned in the wall, so that it is either flush or protruding the same amount on both sides. Any gaps up to 5mm can be sealed using the QuelStop Acrylic Sealant. Please note: Always check the tested scope of application.
