The Verses of the Eight Noble Auspicious Ones | Tashi Gaypa - English Translation
The Verses of the Eight Noble Auspicious Ones were written down in 1896 by Jampal Gyepé Dorjé , otherwise known as Jamgön Mipham Gyatso or Ju Mipham Rinpoche (1846-1912)
“Recite this prayer when you wake up, and you will accomplish all your aims for the day. Recite it when you go to sleep, and you will have good dreams. Recite it before a conflict, and you will be completely victorious. Recite it
when you embark on any project, and you will be successful. If you recite this prayer every day, the length of your life, your splendour, renown, and wealth will all increase, you will find perfect happiness, you will accomplish your aims exactly as you wish, all harmful actions and obscurations will be purified and all your wishes for higher realms, liberation and omniscience will be fulfilled.” These are the words of the Buddha himself.

Where all the phenomena are completely pure and spontaneous,
TrASHI CHOGCHUI SHINGNA SHUGPA YI/
in the auspicious realms of the ten directions,

reside the Buddha, Dharma and Noble Sangha;

by paying homage to them may all be auspicious for us!

The youthful Manjushri, the glorious Vajrapani,

Avalokiteshvara, the protector Maitreya,

Kshitigarbha, Nirvanaviskambin,
NAMKHEI NYINGPO PHAGCHOG KUNTU ZANG/
Akahagarbha and the most noble Samantabhadra,
UTPEL DORJE PÉKAR LUSHING DANG/
hold the emblems gracefully: the utpala lotus,
vajra, white lotus, naga tree,
NORBU DAWA RELDrI NYIMA YI/
jewel, moon sword and sun,
CHAGTSHEN LEGNAM TrASHI PELGYI CHHOG/
they are supreme in granting auspiciousness and success.

RINCHEN DUGCHHOG TrASHI SERGYI NYA/
The most precious umbrella,
the auspicious golden fishes,
DÖEJUNG BUMZANG YIONG KAMALA/
the wish-fulfilling vase of goodness,
the exquisite kamala flower,
NYENDrAG DUNGDANG PHUNTSHOG PELBE WU/
the conch of fame, the glorious knot of prosperity,
MINUB GYELTSHEN WANGGYUR KORLO TE/
the eternal banner of victory and the all-powerful wheel,
RINCHEN TAGCHOG GYÉKYI CHAGTSHEN CHEN/
those who hold these eight most precious emblems,
CHOGDÖE GYELWA CHÖECHING GYÉKYÉ MA/
those who are a source of joy and
who make offerings to the Buddhas of all directions and times,
GEGSOG NGOWO DrENPÉ PELPEL WEI/
those whose respective qualities increase success
merely by thinking of them
TrASHI LHAMO GYÉLA CHAGTSHEL LO/
are the eight auspicious goddesses. Homage to them!

Mahabrahma, Shambu, Narayana,
MIGTONG DENDANG GYELPO YULKHOR SUNG/
Sahasrajna, the Dhritirashtra kings, Virudhaka,
PHAGKYÉ PODANG LUWANG MIGMI ZANG/
Virupaksha, the Lord of Nagas,
NAMTHÖE SÉTE LHADZÉ KHORLO DANG/
and Vaishravana, each one holding a divine emblem:
TrISHU LADANG DUNGTHUNG DORJE CHEN/
the wheel, trident, spear, vajra
PIWAM RELDrI CHÖETEN GYELTSHEN DZIN/
vina, sword, stupa and banner of victory,

they make auspiciousness and positivity grow in the three realms.
