In this video I show you how to build a 8 bit style canvas based bitmap editor so you can build your own retro-style editor.
This is part 1. Let me know if you want part 2!
Part 1 covers:
- Installing p5js: [ Ссылка ]
- Using Npx serve ([ Ссылка ]) (Install Node.js if you don't have npm / npx)
- Using a matrix like 2-dimensional array to store our grid data
- Generating random grid data
- Using noLoop and redraw
- Listening to click events on Canvas and on Buttons
- Exporting canvas to jpg with p5js
- Using forEach to draw the canvas effectively
Overall this code along was fairly fast paced so I feel you may need to watch it again if you are not as experienced.
This comes from someone that has been coding for over 7 years and has worked with canvas A LOT. So look at it as something that you can achieve by focusing a little every day.
Code: [ Ссылка ]
