The freezer compartment of our 20 year old Refrig suddenly melted our ice cream. It appeared the defrost function went haywire and locked into the ON cycle. Using a keen deductive capability honed to a razor's edge by a half century of technical prowess, a determination was made: Failure of contact disengagement. A.K.A., a control box conked out.
Here are the steps we used to noodle it out...but had to call in a pro to provide the box.
