The Hanover Mall opened in 1971 with three anchor stores including Almy's, Zayre and Woolworth's. The mall was sold in 1993 to TA Associates Realty who renovated the mall and removed the iconic fountain in the center court. In 2003 Gregory Greenfield and Associates purchased the mall for 68 million dollars but sold it shortly after in 2007 for 99 million dollars to Walton Street Capital. Three years later in 2010, the mall was forclosed and owned by the bank for the next six years. It was then decided The Hanover Mall would transform into Hanover Crossing, a large outdoor shopping center. This video was shot back in November of 2019. The Hanover Mall has officially closed since then.
