(3 Feb 2019) HIRO MURAI IS KEEPING HIS TEDDY PERKINS SECRET
"Atlanta" director and frequent Donald Glover collaborator Hiro Murai is keeping his Emmy Awards secret.
The strange character at the center of one of the series' most talked-about episodes, Teddy Perkins, showed up at the Emmy Awards last year, posing alongside show stars. Who was it? Murai still won't say.
"You know, that's been a mystery to a lot of people. And I think we're going to keep it a secret. It's like Santa Claus. It's like not as fun if you find out what's real," he said Saturday (2 FEBRUARY) at the DGA Awards in Los Angeles.
Murai said he has two new projects with Glover in the works.
"We have a project coming out that we've been working on relatively soon. I'm keeping it very vague. And then hopefully 'Atlanta' will be back in production in the next few months. I can only – this is all very vague things. But those two things for sure are coming this year," he said.
